Pocket Option India FAQ 2026: Your Questions Answered

Legality and Tax

Short answers: a grey area rather than a ban or a permission, no SEBI registration, and reporting obligations that stay with you rather than moving across to the platform.

Start here if you have not decided where to begin. The rest of this page assumes you are looking for a specific answer rather than a route through the site.

If your question isRead
"Is this allowed for me in India?"The legality page, then the regulator page
"What is this thing and how does a trade work?"The plain explainer, then the beginner trading guide
"Should I trust it with money?"The safety page and the scam-claims page, in that order
"How do I get my money in and out?"Deposits, then withdrawals, then verification
"Is this product right for me at all?"The risks explainer — before anything else on this list

Is Pocket Option legal in India?

Neither "legal" nor "banned" is an accurate word here, and both circulate freely online. The operator is offshore, holds no SEBI registration, and its own published notice — naming the EEA countries, the USA, Israel, the UK, the Philippines, Japan and Brazil — does not include India, checked on 27 July 2026. Reachable is not the same as approved. The full reasoning, including what "grey area" does and does not cover, is on Pocket Option legality in India.

What do SEBI and RBI say about it?

Nothing about this brand specifically that we could verify. SEBI cautions investors generally against dealing with unregistered entities, and its protection machinery covers registered intermediaries only. The RBI publishes an Alert List of entities not authorised to deal in foreign exchange, and we could not confirm whether this brand appears on it — so we neither claim nor deny it, and you can check the list yourself. Separately, money leaving India falls under FEMA and the Liberalised Remittance Scheme, where the compliance burden sits with the remitter. Detail on SEBI and RBI rules.

How are gains taxed?

An offshore platform with no Indian registration would not normally deduct tax at source or report anything to Indian authorities, so assume no automatic reporting. Declaring income and gains, and disclosing foreign holdings where the law requires it, remains yours to do, and short-horizon speculative gains may be treated differently from investment gains. We publish no rate, threshold, deadline or form number, because that is advice rather than information — see Pocket Option tax for the shape of the obligation, and take anything binding to a qualified chartered accountant.

Nothing on this site is tax or legal advice; the obligations described here are real, but the specifics belong to a professional who knows your situation.

Access and Apps

Access, oddly, is the least complicated part. Where readers get hurt is in how they reach the platform: search advertisements, forwarded installers and "helpdesk" pages that belong to nobody.

How do I log in?

Type the address yourself rather than clicking a search result or a forwarded link, and sign in with the email and password used at registration. Most login failures are ordinary — a mistyped address, a session on another device, a password manager filling a lookalike domain — and the dangerous response to them is searching for a "recovery service", which is how credential theft usually starts. Two-factor authentication, where offered, is worth enabling before anything else. Step detail on Pocket Option login.

What is po.trade?

A second front presented as the same service, with its own Android package identifier alongside the main one, and carrying the same exclusion notice. What is not established anywhere we could read is a shared legal operator, a shared login or a shared balance — so treat an account on one front as an account on that front only, and never open a second registration while a funded balance sits on the first. Fuller treatment on po.trade.

How do I get the app or the APK?

From an official app store or the operator's own domain, and from nowhere else. Android and iOS apps and a Windows and macOS desktop build are advertised. The APK question dominates Indian search demand and has one safe answer: never install a trading application from a forwarded file, a mirror site or a "faster build" recommended in a group, because bundled malware and credential-stealing clones are the standard risk in that channel. Check the developer name, listing age and update history before the icon. See the app and APK and Pocket Option download.

A cross-cutting point for this whole section, since it applies to login, the second front and the app equally: the operator publishes exactly two names, and everything else claiming to represent it is somebody else's property. Hyphenated variants, country-suffixed domains, "official mirror" pages and regional support portals are the standard furniture of phishing in this niche, and they are usually reached through an advertisement rather than found organically. Bookmark the address once you have typed it correctly, and use the bookmark from then on.

Almost every access-related loss in this category starts with how the reader arrived, not with what they did once they were there.

Money Questions

Numbers, first: we publish no exact figures for deposits or payouts, because they change without notice and are rendered live. What we can give you is the shape of the process and where it breaks.

What is the minimum deposit?

Advertised as a very low entry, in the single-dollar range at the time of writing — read the live figure on the operator's own pages before funding, and ignore rupee equivalents quoted elsewhere, since the conversion moves. A low floor is an accessibility feature, not evidence that the product is inexpensive to trade: the real cost sits in the payout percentage. Context on the minimum deposit.

Can I use UPI?

UPI, bank transfer, domestic e-wallets, cards and crypto are the categories Indian users meet with offshore platforms. Which are live for a given account at a given moment is not something we can verify, and Indian banks, card issuers and payment providers may decline or reverse payments to offshore trading merchants. Two rules hold regardless: fund only from an instrument in your own name, and never use a third-party "top-up" agent: it breaks method-matching at payout and is a well-worn fraud route. More on Pocket Option deposit methods.

How do withdrawals work?

Expect funds to return to the instrument that sent them, expect identity verification to be complete before a first payout, and expect no guaranteed processing window: we quote none, because none is published. Most payout problems are set up weeks earlier, at funding: money sent from someone else's account, documents left unsubmitted, a name that does not match. Sequence and preparation on Pocket Option withdrawal, documents on verification and KYC.

One cross-cutting note that belongs in this section rather than any single page: keep your own transaction record from the first deposit. Platform histories are not designed for Indian tax reporting, and reconstructing a year of short trades afterwards is miserable work.

A smooth withdrawal is mostly decided at deposit time: own-name funding and early verification prevent the problems people blame on the payout desk.

Trading and Learning

Honestly framed, this whole section comes down to three things: the tooling is capable, the practice account is free, and no approach reliably overcomes the payout structure underneath it.

What strategies exist?

The recognisable families (trend-following, range and reversal reads, news-avoidance rules, session-based approaches) all exist here, and any of them is worth less than the discipline wrapped around it. What separates a rule set from improvising is that it is written down before the session, is followed unchanged over a fixed sample, and includes stake sizing and a stopping point. We publish no win rates or profit projections for any approach, because none is verifiable. Frameworks on Pocket Option strategy and trading strategies.

Do signals help?

Sometimes as a filter, never as a substitute for your own rules, and never on the terms their sellers advertise. In-platform signals and third-party channels alike carry no profit guarantee, and no published accuracy figure for either is verifiable. The correct way to assess one costs nothing: log every call on the practice account, take them all at a fixed notional stake, and compare your complete record with what the provider claims. Never hand credentials, an OTP or device access to a signal seller or bot vendor: no public documented trading API exists, so every such tool drives your own logged-in session. Method on Pocket Option signals.

Is there a free demo?

Yes: a free practice account with a refillable virtual balance and no deposit required is advertised, on the same interface and the same live prices as a funded account. It is the most useful thing on the platform and the most commonly wasted: used as a highlight reel it teaches false confidence, and it cannot reproduce how a falling real balance feels. Use it with written rules and a fixed sample size. Detail on the demo account, and the arithmetic that should shape your expectations on binary options risks.

Two questions readers ask in this area that do not have their own page, and do not need one. Does practice performance predict live performance? Only partially: execution and rule-following transfer, while composure under a real falling balance does not, which is why methods that looked stable on practice often break in the first funded week. And how long should the practice phase last? Long enough to produce a sample you did not curate, across more than one type of market week, with the losing sessions logged in the same detail as the winning ones. Readers who set that boundary in advance tend to stick to it; readers who wait to feel ready tend to fund an account on the back of a good afternoon.

Every learning question on this site converges on the same answer: write the rules first, run a fixed sample, keep the record you would rather not keep.

Trust and Support

Neither, is the honest answer: we do not call this platform a scam and we do not call it safe. Both are conclusions dressed as facts; we can only set out what is verifiable and where the gaps are.

Is it safe, or is it a scam?

The verifiable position: an offshore operator, no regulator named on its own pages, no operating company or registered address disclosed, no SEBI registration, and therefore no Indian complaint route, exchange guarantee or enforceable segregation of client funds. That is not an accusation and it is not an endorsement: it is a description of what you would be relying on. Most published "scam" allegations in this category turn out to be verification and method-matching disputes rather than theft, which is a distinction worth understanding before you form a view. Worked through on is Pocket Option safe and Pocket Option scam claims.

How do I contact customer care?

Through the platform: in-platform live chat, email or ticket, and in-app help are the advertised channels. No Indian local customer-care telephone number is published on the pages we could read, and numbers advertised online as a "Pocket Option India helpline" are a known scam pattern: no legitimate agent asks for a password, an OTP or remote access to your device. We print no phone number anywhere on this site, deliberately. More on Pocket Option customer care.

How does the affiliate program work?

Generically, as in the rest of the sector: a referral link, a revenue-share or per-acquisition model, a payout threshold and method matching on withdrawal. We publish no commission percentage or earnings figure, since none is verifiable. Anyone in India promoting an offshore financial product also carries their own advertising, disclosure and tax responsibilities, which is the part promotional material tends to leave out. Overview on the affiliate program.

If your question is not on this page, the two entry points that answer most of what is left are the plain explainer at what is Pocket Option and our full Pocket Option review.

The absence of an Indian phone number is a fact about the operator; the abundance of Indian "helpline" numbers online is a fact about the fraud around it.

Frequently asked questions

Where should I start on this site?

With the risks explainer, whatever brought you here. It sets out the payout arithmetic that decides whether this product can work for you at all, and it takes ten minutes. After that, the plain explainer if the product is new to you, or the legality and safety pages if your question is whether to trust an offshore operator with money. Deposits, withdrawals and verification are worth reading before funding rather than after.

How current is the information here?

Regulatory status, platform terms and figures were checked against the operator's own pages on 27 July 2026. Everything in this category moves: payout rates change per asset and expiry without notice, payment routes for Indian users appear and disappear, and app listings shift by country. Treat any figure on this site as a description of what was published on that date, and read the live terms on the operator's pages before you act on one.

Why does this site publish fewer numbers than other reviews?

Because most of the numbers in circulation cannot be sourced. Minimum deposits, payout percentages, demo balances and competitor figures are copied between review sites until they read as established, and they are frequently stale or simply invented. Where we could not verify a value on a page we read, we print a range, say plainly that it is unverified, or leave it out. A missing number is less damaging to a reader than a confident wrong one.

Has anyone at TradeLens traded a live account here?

No. We have not opened, funded or traded a live account with this operator, and nothing on this site is written as hands-on testing. Our work is document-based: what the operator publishes, what regulators say generally, what the product structure implies, and what the gaps in the public record are. Where we could not verify something, we say so rather than filling the space with an anecdote.

How does TradeLens make money?

TradeLens is an independent publisher, not affiliated with Pocket Option, and its funding model is affiliate partnerships. No partner program is connected to this site at present, so nothing you click here earns a commission today, and there are no sign-up buttons or tracking links on these pages. Where such a partnership exists in future, a commission may be earned on accounts opened through links published here. That model is disclosed on the site's funding page. It is also why the editorial rules here are strict: unverified figures stay out, no platform is declared safe or a scam, and the risk statements are not softened for commercial convenience.

Which pages should I read before sending any money?

Four, in order: the risks explainer, so you understand the payout structure; the legality and regulator pages, so you know what protection does not exist for you in India; the deposit and withdrawal pages, so you know how method matching and verification will affect getting money back; and the tax page, so the reporting obligation is not a surprise later. That is roughly an hour, against a decision to send money to an unregistered offshore operator.
